rock paper scissors, inc. offers publicity services in a variety of industries including music, technology, social design, design thinking, live events, holistic health, and more. Our publicity team includes five publicists, a campaign manager, writers, and strategists. We have an in-house database called "The Brain" with over 20,000 journalists coded by industry and beat. Our website not only acts as a portfolio of our writing and press coverage, but as a living document of each campaign providing clients with assets and press clippings along the way. It automatically sends clients press clippings every day they are added.
Publicity campaigns are customized for each client. Each campaign includes three components:
Strategy includes angle development, press research, and developing a campaign strategy to meet your business objectives.
We conduct interviews with the client to cull and write compelling and newsworthy stories.
Our outreach helps us secure coverage in hundreds of outlets each year including National Public Radio, the New York Times, TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, and many more. For business- and cause-related clients, we combine targets ranging from business and tech to culture and news outlets. For music clients, we specialize in helping international, cross-cultural, and roots artists, labels, and festivals. Media targets include genre-specific outlets, mainstream music outlets, and news and culture outlets.
Clients receive a detailed, weekly report from their very own rock paper scissors publicist. The report shows what outlets have been contacted, all coverage plans, and feedback from every responding journalist, many times in their own words.
